§ 322-2. Target ranges.

  • A. 
    Before proceeding with the construction of any structure designed or intended for use as a target range where any gun, revolver, pistol or other firearm or any air gun, spring gun or other instrument or weapon in which the propelling force is a spring or air or chemical may be used or discharged, a permit shall be obtained for said construction from the Bureau of Buildings in accordance with the provisions of the Building Code. Before the Bureau of Buildings shall issue such a permit, the approval of the erection of the proposed structure shall be obtained from the Department of Fire and the Police Department.
    B. 
    No target range hereafter erected shall be used until a license therefor shall be applied for and issued by the City Clerk. Such a license shall be issued annually upon the approval of the Building Official, the Fire Department and the Police Department and the payment of a fee as set forth in Chapter 133, Fees.
    C. 
    No target range heretofore erected shall continue to be used as such unless a license therefor is obtained from the City Clerk. Such a license shall be issued upon the approval of the Building Official, the Fire Department and the Police Department and the payment of a fee as set forth in Chapter 133, Fees.
