§ 312-53. Payment.

A.Except as set forth in Subsection B below, where parking meters are installed in parts of streets and highways and except in an emergency or in compliance with the directions of a peace officer or traffic control signal or sign, no vehicle shall be parked between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, Sundays and holidays excepted, on all streets and highways, within a parking space alongside of or next to which a parking meter is located, except upon payment of the required fee, except that commercial vehicles shall be allowed to occupy space without the payment of said fee while actually loading or unloading.
