§ 279-4. Existing buildings and occupancies.

A building listed in § 279-3 hereinabove which is existing on the effective date of this chapter shall comply with this chapter when said building is reconstructed, remodeled or enlarged to the extent that the floor area is increased by 30%. A change of occupancy to a greater hazard shall require the fire area to be sprinklered.
