§ 235-22. Limitations on issuance of permits.

  • The City Manager is authorized to issue permits, without fee, only to bona fide religious organizations and to bona fide charitable organizations who are duly registered with the State of New York for the purpose of soliciting funds pursuant to the provisions of the Social Services Law of the State of New York, and to issue permits without fee to bona fide veterans' organizations as the same are defined in Subdivision 3 of § 168 of the Social Services Law. Said solicitation shall take place during daylight hours only and shall be conducted in an unobtrusive manner without annoyance or hindrance to traffic or pedestrians, and pursuant to such other terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the City Manager and the Corporation Counsel upon taking into consideration the public health, safety and general welfare.
